We work with envelope consultants, architects and general contractors to ensure our systems installation bring product reliability and solutions. A building needs to breathe to protect itself and the people inside. Breather membranes allow vapor to permeate the material while protecting the building from damaging moisture by allowing vapor to escape, reducing condensation and allowing the structure to dry during and after construction.
Air barrier membranes along with self-adhered flashings are used to reduce outside air infiltration and inside interstitial condensation. An air barrier prevents the passage of liquid, but it does allow a limited amount of vapor to pass through.
